Steampunk festival

Steampunk festival
Saturday, 1st April 9200 from 2.00 PM to 8.00 PM

April 12 from 14.00, náměstí Svobody, Teplice

Enter the world of the magical reality of Steampunk, where steam cars race around the city, the mechanical devices of famous inventors come to life and fashion is a celebration of creativity and originality.
The packed programme will culminate in a packed concert:

  • 6.00 pm - 7.00 pm: AC/DC Tribute Pardubice
  • 7.00 pm - 8.00 pm: THE RUMBLE OF SKULLS (heavy metal)

At every turn you will be treated to performances by talented creators and performers in amazing costumes, interactive workshops and stylish refreshments in the marketplace. You'll hear the First Steam Orchestra, born from the medieval musical group Dei Gratia, children will learn about great discoveries, inventions and steam engines during Full Steam Ahead experiments and have fun on a historic hand-powered Ferris wheel!

Festival-goers will enjoy demonstrations of working historic steam engines, such as a steam locomotive and flaxen engine, firefighters with a large historic steam syringe, James Watt's "Full Steam Ahead" steam show, and Professor Steaman's fantasy lab.

The event will also include a steam picnic to join in, and a fashion show of costumes from the Victorian era.

We'd love you to come in costume too! Visitors in the best costumes will be rewarded with gift vouchers to the Teplice Gallery.

We'll transport you to a time when dreams of progress became reality. The heart of Teplice will beat to the rhythm of cogwheels and steam engines from the Industrial Revolution. Come and enjoy a varied programme of music, dance, amazing costumes and theatrical performances.

A fantastic programme will be provided by Peter Stolar's V Pytli Theatre.
